Also, if you are used to have facials, get your last one on the last week before wedding. Even if you do not use lip balm, a bridal makeup requires it.

DIY Wedding Makeup For Brides

If you are looking for a way to cut costs, doing your own makeup can be a great way to can save you lots of money. Here are some tips for achieving a professional look on your own.

Go get a makeup consultation.

Most department stores have trained makeup artists who will give you a makeup lesson with a product purchase. This kills two birds with one stone. You can get the makeup you need and a professional demonstration of the product.

Here are some more tips on achieving a perfect look on your wedding day.

Start with clean, moisturized skin.

· Be sure your moisturizer and foundation have an SPF of at least 15 to protect you in the sun.

Use concealer and foundation to create flawless skin.

· Start with concealer (cream works best). Apply it under your eyes and to any red or dark spots to even your skin tone.

· Use a foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Apply sparingly. Too much foundation can highlight skin imperfections. Apply to your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, and then blend upward and outward.

Have perfectly groomed brows.

· Don't pluck or wax the day of your wedding. Do this a few days to a week before the wedding to avoid irritation and redness.

· Use a pencil the same shade as your brows to fill in gaps and to create a defined look. Use small, light strokes when applying brow liner.

· Tame wild brows with clear mascara.

Define your eyes

· Line your eyes along the lash line with a dark-colored liner. Black or charcoal smudged along the top lashes is a great look. Turn the point of your liner up at the corners to really open them up.

· For shadow, use three shades in coordinating colors: light, medium and deep. Use the light color on your brow bone and the inside corner of your eye. Put the medium color in the crease and along the lid. Use the darker color on the outside third of your lid to make eyes really pop.

· Use a thickening or lengthening mascara in a waterproof formula to really define lashes. Add fake lashes for real drama. Be sure to practice before your wedding day.

Create a soft glow.

· Gain that blushing bride look with a large blush brush. Smile a big, goofy smile to define the apples of your cheeks. Sweep blush upward into your hairline.

· Sweep a soft layer of bronzer across the spots where the sun naturally hits you: cheeks, forehead, bridge of your nose, and chin.

Create soft, luscious lips.

· Use a stay-put formula with a gloss for long-lasting lips.

· First define lips with a pencil that matches your lipstick shade exactly.

· Top with the lip color. Let set for time specified.

· Add gloss.

· For real staying power, purchase a lipstick sealant. This will make your lipstick last much longer.

· Don't go too extreme in color. Define your lips with a natural color like berry or nude that complements your skin tone.

Finish it off.

· Add some translucent powder to your entire face (excluding your lips and lashes) to lock in the look.

Touch up tips:

· Keep some shine control papers handy. Press them on your face to remove excess oil. Don't pile on powder. It will cake.

· Touch up gloss periodically through your reception to keep lips moist and pretty for pictures.

Bridal Beauty Secrets - Bridal Makeup Tips - Makeup and Hairstyle

Every bride deserves to be the very special lady of the day and look her best. The hairdo, the makeup, the bridal trousseau and how the bride conducts herself is the focus of everybody's attention on this day and you will certainly feel much more comfortable, if you have already done the dress rehearsal first . People say that the bride is the center of a wedding's attention. When someone is watching you, you always want to look your best. With the aid of makeup artists, your bridal makeup can be the perfect one. Forwards are some tips for a durable and good looking makeup. It's reported that nothing compares with a blushing bride.

Where to Begin…

The first thing to get right is your skin and eyebrows…I would recommend a series of facials in the run up to your wedding (that is if you don’t already have regular facials) Start a few months before as it is common for your skin to break out and get worse before it gets better after a facial if you haven’t had one for a long time. (Something to do with getting all the impurities out) Treat yourself to one a month for 3 months before the big day…your last one at least a few days before your wedding, to give your skin time to settle down) Eyebrows should be shaped the day before if possible.

Bridal Makeup Tips

Bridal make up includes dressing up your face, eyes and hair for the special day.

* Before applying foundation, use a gel or a primer. This helps your wedding make up stay for the whole day.

* Use tinted foundation in different colors to reflect the shaded and highlighted areas.

* Trim your brows properly and shape your eyes with eyeliner.

* Go in for false lashes to add the dramatic look to the eyes.

For a resistant blushing, a powder-based blush is recommended.

In the day of the wedding, you should not apply any makeup to your brows. Anyway, it is recommended to apply the eye color and a neutral shadow after putting on shadow primer. This tip can make your bridal makeup look more natural. For brightening a little your eyelids, use an eye shadow base. After that, apply two layers of waterproof mascara, having few seconds pause between, to avoid eventually incidents.

Your lips are also very important. Take into account that you will kiss a lot of people. So you should use a very resistant lipstick. Moreover, it has to fit eye and hair color, same as the lip liner. You should always outline your lips first and then fill them with color. For a longer durability, use balm, lacquer or primer and apply the lipstick with a lip brush. You should apply two layers, for resistance.

To conclude, your beauty routine make a quick check of your face and powder before you leave for the ceremony. If you can have your bridal makeup professionally applied, go for it and save stress. Besides, the difference in front of the camera will be startling, speaking good of you for the years to come.

Enhancing Your Natural Beauty With Makeup

Start with a Clean Face
If you want your makeup to end looking the best it possibly can, it's not just important, but vital you start with very clean skin. Otherwise, it's like painting a dirty house or waxing a floor without cleaning it first. You're just putting something on to cover up the dirt and it will usually show through.

Find a good and natural cleansing product that doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and dehydrated. Depending on how oily your skin naturally is, you may need to use an astringent to really clear it up, but don't go overboard. You want to bring your skin to its natural state, not overly dry and not overly oily.

Lighted Makeup Mirrors

You may not have considered this before, but any professional makeup artist is going to use a lighted makeup mirror. The perfection in makeup application is found when you focus on the details. It would be like painting a beautiful picture in a dimly lit room. You're never going to be able to get the fine detail that makes for a stunning look if you can't see those details.

When considering a lighted makeup mirror, don't go for the cheaper models with the fluorescent bulbs. There is no way you're going to be happy with your look when it's under the unflattering lighting provided by these fluorescents. As a matter of fact, go with the most natural light bulbs you can afford. Again, the professional makeup artists are sparing no expense in this area and it's for a good reason.

Building a Foundation that's Natural

Your makeup foundation is meant to conceal your minor imperfections not to cover your face with an unnatural coating. This is sometimes difficult to communicate, since we're all looking for that perfectly smooth complexion. Unfortunately, the more you try to achieve that look, the less natural your complexion will look.

If you think the heavier the makeup, the better you'll look, think again. A good number of the people you see on TV are using an airbrush to apply their makeup. That's so they can put on the lightest most natural coating possible. It's not the quantity of makeup that makes you look amazing.

Accentuate Your Natural Beauty

Thankfully, for most of us, the days of plucking out all of your eyebrows and drawing them in with a pencil are long gone. That doesn't mean you can't groom and shape your eyebrows to help accentuate the natural look of your face. The same rule applies for the rest of your face. You don't want to change your appearance, just enhance it. Don't try making your lips look fuller with an extremely dark lip liner. If you are going to use liner, go one or maybe two shades darker and that's it.

Indian Bridal Makeup- Ravishing Look for Your Special Day

India is a land of colourful people, rich tradition and natural beauty. Among others the Indian marriage is a craze worldwide. All those singing, dancing, plays by the crowd are loved by people all over the world. Indian wedding is a gala affair and Indians leave no stone unturned to make the event complete memory appetite! Among others the Indian bridal makeup is also looked upon when you want to look ravishing! This Indian bridal makeup is basically heavily put so that it goes along well with the expensive gown and the heavily decorated venue.

More about Indian bridal makeup

There are many parts to the puzzle of this pride of India and to set them all in places you need to carry it out days before the actual wedding. Our skin, nails, legs, hairs- all get tarnished with daily life exposure to the sun and pollution, hot air etc. The moisture and glow is all gone and so no matter what you do the skin still remains lifeless and dull. Applying makeup into this skin will make you look ugly! So, you need special rounds to saloons- days in advance to bring your skin back to form. Mehendi, henna, pedicure, manicure etc are few of those regimes you need to attend past your big day. Also expect facials and massages to bring back the lost moisture and make the skin afresh.

Talking of the Indian bridal makeup it is mostly preferred that the makeup done is heavy. It is because of few factors namely expensive and glittery bridal gown, fully fledged yellow lights (most of the weddings are done at night), all day long photography and round the clock makeup. Wearing glittery dress with light makeup becomes a miss-matched pair. With such heavy dresses you need to team up all accessories accordingly otherwise your money on dress will go in vain. The yellow lights cut down your make up so during photography you may look dull, so you need to put on heavy makeup. Make-ups tend to vanish with time so, initial heavy layer will allow your makeup to stand up for longer duration.

Cosmetics: Makeup Tips From Models and Movie Stars - Learning From Makeup Artists About Applying Cosmetics

Women put a great deal of importance on cosmetics, mascara and lipstick to make themselves attractive. They feel good about themselves when they are all dolled-up with cosmetics. Just hearing someone say, "you look nice today", can make their day. Yes, cosmetics, mascara and lipstick have become basic necessities for well dressed women. In fact, most women do not feel that they are good looking without makeup. They feel they will be adversely judged if they do not look pretty. Is there some truth to this? Does society put such emphasis on appearance?

Even though looks shouldn't matter, the question arises–do good looking people get treated with favoritism? Do they tend to have greater advantages in life? For example, would a stranger be more inclined to come to the aid of a woman who is very attractive? Might she receive better service at the auto shop? Simply because she is good looking?

An experiment was conducted in New York city. Two women were given folders filled with papers. They were told to drop them on a busy sidewalk and observe what would happen. Would anyone help them? When the attractive woman dropped her folder, suddenly people immediately came to help. Then she observed the other "average looking" woman drop her folder. She was saddened when nobody came to her friend's assistance.

Why this differential treatment? Is this strictly a cultural phenomenon? Do we learn this from observing and imitating others? Well, studies show that babies will look more intently and longer at prettier faces. If infants could not possibly be influenced to be biased at this tender age, then we must somehow be hard-wired, rather than conditioned, to respond more favorably to more attractive people.

What can we do about it?

If it truly is an intrinsic quality of humans to show a more favorable disposition to more attractive people, then there is very little we can do about it. All the rebellion in the world won't change human nature. If someone pays us a compliment by telling us how nice we look, would we chastise them? Would we question why they show partiality? No, rather, we would be grateful for this compliment and view it as a human kindness.

How to accept this ugly truth?

It will be easier for us to accept this human tendency if we admit that we ourselves at times are partial to this kind of admiration. Depending on if it is to our advantage or not. Favorable when it is to our advantage; not-favorable when we are at the short end of the stick. We must be realistic and remember that a person's physical attractiveness, just like their personality, impacts every individual literally from birth to death. As unfair as at that may be, it's reality. We can never change that. The best thing that we can do is change our attitude, learn from others and use it to our advantage.

How to use it to our advantage?

Movie stars are usually renowned for their good looks. To them, their appearance is a top priority. This is because their livelihood depends on it. In fact, some are noted to say, "It is better to look good, than to feel good!" Although, we may view this as an inordinate emphasis on vanity, in reality, it may not be. Think about it! Would they have achieved stardom in show-business due to their excellent health? Of course not! Image is everything in their world. They just know how to project their image to the best of their advantage. We must learn to do the same.

What can we learn from movie stars?

If movie stars put their best foot forwards, wouldn't we gain limited success by applying their thinking? Consider this–just because a movie star is naturally good looking, doesn't cause her to not wear makeup. No, she will actually put emphasis on it. Consulting makeup artists to achieve her best natural look. Accentuating the positive, and making negative features less noticeable. Their livelihood and reputation depends on their taking every advantage to look their very best, on camera and off.

How to capitalize on your looks?

Movie stars are privileged to employ the efforts of various makeup artists to achieve their best look. This gives a fresh perspective on what may look better. However, most women who are not in show business, have only done their own makeup application. As a habit, they may be using unfavorable colors and application methods. If you feel like you need a new perspective, why not consult a makeup artist? Their fresh approach and greater experience, might be just what you need to accentuate your best facial features. It is common for women to consult their hair-dressers for a new look–why not do the same with a makeup artist?

How natural cosmetics can help?

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to just accentuate positive facial features and not have to cover up imperfections. Well, the truth is many skin problems are actually a result of makeup! Most makeup products contain chemicals that irritate the skin and cause blemishes, discoloration, redness and dryness. Instead of covering up facial flaws with synthetic blends of makeup, why not try to correct these flaws by the use of natural cosmetics? You will be surprised how much better your skin will look and feel. Also you will not need to wear as much foundation and makeup! This will save you time, money, and you will be able to concentrate on accentuating positives!

Yes, looks do matter! We do live in a society that puts a great deal of emphasis on appearance. Without cosmetics, society views women as not fully dressed. We can't change that. But we can take advantage of this. By wearing cosmetics in a way that accentuates our appearance, cosmetics can actually open doors that may otherwise be closed.
