Organic Skin Care, Becoming Popular

Organic skin care is on a rise. There are several firms that have started selling organic products. People's faith towards organic products has been on a rise. This because of the growing acceptance of products prepared without the use of chemicals. Initially it was organic foods that were popular. People started to look for organic products everywhere as organic foods became popular. Now there are several organic skin care products that you can see in the malls and other stores. The ingredients of these organic products are grown naturally without the addition of any chemicals as mentioned above.

These organic products tend to costly as the production price per unit is high. Organic skincare products cannot be manufactured on a large scale because of the difficulty of sourcing the ingredients required for these products. Large scale production of these ingredients is extremely difficult because of the threat of nature. This is why small production of these ingredients is done. As scale is not achieved, the cost of the products is high which is why they are available at high prices in the market.

There are several firms that sell organic skin care products that provide regular skin care. Most of these are moisturizers and purifying creams. All these firms claim that their products are free of sulphates, paraben and petrochemicals. These firms are continuously striving towards formulating better organic products that provide skin care. One of the most used ingredients is the olive oil. Olive oil was used as a moisturizer by Greeks. It has the unique property of mixing with water. This is a potent combination as this solution penetrates into the skin and cleans the dirt from the inside. When chemicals are removed from the products containing these ingredients, the cream stands a much better chance to allow the skin to function better.

The natural skin care product review was done in 2006. Each product was rated out of ten for its mix of natural ingredients. The tope four skin moisturizers were Mt personal choice, Terressential's Moisture cream, Burt's bees complexion oil, nature's bounty skin cream. The worst skin care was also ranked in terms of which had the most toxic ingredients. These were Jergen's natural glow skin moisturizer, Rite Aid skin care lotion, Jason Natural moisturizer, Dove face care essential nutrients and Zia natural body gel. These ratings show that even if the companies claim to be natural or organic, you have to check the ingredients to find out how organic they are. Inspite of claims to be organic, these skincare products will be containing some amount of chemicals in them. This does not mean all the products out there are not 100% organic. There are fully organic skincare products available in the market. The first two products in the top 4 rated moisturizers are 100% organic.

The chemicals present in the regular products harm your skin in the long run. They may produce short term results, but in the long run they are detrimental to your skin. If you find the organic products expensive you can prepare your own cosmetics at home. One such website that has instructions on it is http://www.aboutorganic.com. This information is available in the personal care section of organic home. If you still use regular creams, shift to organic as they have the advantage of being natural and not causing any harm on your skin.

Wedding Make Up

Wedding day is associated with lots of expectations and anticipations. Much attention and care should be taken towards small details when it comes to the bridal make up. A wedding day make up would definitely be very different form the regular days and yet it is essential to remember that it does not spoil the beauty of the bride by heavy application or experimenting on the grand day. The ideal bridal make up would accentuate the bride's beauty and conceal the flaws naturally. Neither too much nor too less, but a perfect combination of the make up and the natural beauty would thus, help the bride look and feel the center of the attraction.

A facial done at least two hours prior to the wedding is ideal to impart a glow to the face. In case the bride is allergic to facials or has other skin problems, consultations with the dermatologist should be carried out 3 to 4 months prior the wedding. Brides to be are advised to drink lots of water to help in giving a hydrated look and flushing out the impurities of the skin. Eyebrows can be shaped before 5 to 6 days of the wedding and not ideally on the wedding day to avoid red bumps and rashes.

A long lasting lipstick is crucial for this big day with a lip liner complementing the color and standing out. It can be patted with a soft powder to make the lip color last longer. Waterproof mascara is a must, as the brides at times end up crying when parting from family and friends. Keeping the powder, lipstick, and mascara handy would be wise for occasional touch ups at regular intervals.

In case a pimple crops up to affect the look, a drop of Visine can help in getting the red spot out and then covering it with the concealer followed by the application of foundation.

Choosing Professional Wedding Make-up

The right make-up for a wedding is one of the many important elements to consider when planning for a wedding. Brides need to be conscious of this element as it completes and complements the overall look of her wedding ensemble. Professional wedding make-up artists study the craft of applying wedding make-up as this is different from fashion, film or photo-shoot make-up. Below are essential factors that a professional wedding make-artist needs to consider.

Study skin types-It's advisable to study and assess a skin type before even choosing a wedding look or deciding on a professional wedding make-up artist. This will also help the bride decide on the type and artist. Skin types can be anywhere from dry, oily, prone to break-outs. Skin types may also mean complexion type. These include fair, olive, medium fair, or dark. Of course wedding make-up is different for each nationality; Asians, Caucasians, African-American and Latin-Americans all require complementing colors and palettes.

Research on styles- Today there are various make-up styles for every type wedding. The make-up will depend on the time, place or theme of the wedding. Beach or other destination weddings will require summer palettes. Evening weddings needs make-up that is slightly dramatic but not heavy. Formal weddings entail wedding make-up that looks polished and smooth.

Artist rapport and personality-The wedding make-up artist's rapport and personality is a major consideration when deciding on the make-up. It's important to relate well with the bride. The artist will be working in close proximity to her from the pre-wedding preparations right up to the reception festivities.

Promoting professional wedding make-up services can be challenging when faced with numerous competition and limited marketing resources. One effective and affordable method is the use of print promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, catalogs, tags, even posters or postcards. These are direct and easy mediums for exposure. An online printer like Uprinting for example, offers printing services through a website, calling a toll free number or through live chat. Uprinting also maintains blogs and samples of print output on graphic design blogs and popular photo uploading blogs like Flicker. How to Find Your Favorite Kids Entertainer, Clowns, for Your Kids Party

As a professional kids entertainer and parent of four, I would like to share some of my experience with parents who are looking for entertainment for their kids party. Folks usually turn to professionals for solutions, they are willing to invest their hard earned cash to put on a kids party that would be fun and memorable for both their child and their guests alike. The purpose of this article is to shed some light on some key points to consider when hiring entertainment for your child's party.

Age appropriate:

What is the age range of the kids that you are looking to entertain? Usually, a parent would want entertainment not only for their child but for the guests as well. We know that your child likes Elmo, but you have invited other kids to the party as well. You may want to consider entertainment that would cater to the appropriate age group invited as opposed to just the birthday child. A professional entertainer would know how to make the birthday child feel special without making the other kids feel not included.

A clown isn't just a clown:

Please consider the person behind the make up. Performers vary greatly in approach and style. The best example is when people hire a costumed character, let's say Elmo. Please, consider the person who will be wearing that costume. Kids have an amazing intuition and can pick up on each others fears. A seasoned professional will know how to calm those anxieties very early on and bring the group together into the fun zone.

Use your best judgment:

Do some homework on the performer before you commit: Are they a full time kids entertainer? Are they patient and genuinely like children? (Kids require a lots of patience) Do they project a professional image? (Website, Demo, Costume etc.) Can you find reviews or testimonials on them? (Websites reviews, Local library reviews, etc.)

Budget:

Like any other service, you sometimes get what you pay for. Consider entertainment into your budget, a good entertainer can make your party all the worthwhile. It's not about quantity, it's about quality. If you want someone to do a magic show, a puppet show, sculpt balloon animals and do face painting for $150, then hire your neighbor's teenage son. Make sure to give him a $50 advance to get the supplies from the dollar store. But if you want a professional, make sure that they are specialized in their field and they are at the top of their game.

Logistics:

Consider to ask the performer these logistical questions before you commit: How much space do you need? Can you perform indoors and outdoors? Do you provide your own sound equipment? What do you need us to prepare for your act?

Key Words to consider:

Let's assume that you live in the San Francisco Bay Area Copy and paste the keywords that apply to you into your favorite search engine such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, ASK etc. Consider using broad geographic terms such as Bay area, San Francisco Bay Area. If you live in a large metropolis consider using your city name like : San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara, San Francisco, San Ramon, Marin, Daly City, Menlo Park etc. San Jose Kids entertainer, San Jose children Entertainment Bay Area birthday party entertainer, Birthday party entertainer Kids birthday party entertainer, Bay Area Puppet Shows, birthday party balloons 1st birthday party, boys birthday party, bay area birthday party character, magic shows Party Entertainers in the San Francisco Bay Area, birthday party venues in the bay area birthday party ideas, party puppet shows, corporate entertainment party favors for kids, kids party favors, 1st birthday supplies, birthday comedian bay area birthday party themes, entertainer bay area, entertainers bay area clown, clowns, magician, magicians, mime, bay area party clowns, entertainers San Jose children entertainment for kids, bay area birthday party themes, the entertainers, the bay area entertainers, wedding entertainer, event entertainer Bay area kids events, bay area kids party, Clowns Childrens Entertainers Bay Area children party bay area, kids party San Francisco, Magicians bay area, Magic shows bay area.

A professional entertainer can bring your guests together into the happy zone and create an atmosphere of joy and laughter. A committed kids entertainer can also add magic and theatrics into the memories of kids and grown ups alike. As a Bay Area entertainer, I have committed myself to making my next child's party the only party that counts. Now, it's Show-Time!

How To Do Great Trade Show Marketing

A trade fair exhibition is a powerful marketing tool to promote your business. Not all the successfully achieve their marketing goals from their trade fair marketing campaign. In many cases, they fail due to poor marketing planning, event though they have a great products and services.

Please remember, it is not enough to simply set up a booth, you must come up with an innovative marketing strategy to attract your potential customers.

Below are some good ideas on how to do trade show marketing:

1. Pre trade show marketing
Remember, you must let your prospects know where your booth is located on the showroom floor. Use tag lines such as "see us at Booth 1234 at the such and such Trade Show" in news releases and other communications such as direct mail leading up to the show.
Simple flyer with pictures of your products with your website, contact details, trade show exhibit booth stand number and call to action such as a trade show promotional product or discount are affordable to print and really valuable for communicating what you are about.

2. Special business cards
Print up a special business card for major shows. Add the show name, logo and dates along with your regular information. Why? People may not remember you, but they will remember they were at the show.

3. Offer a special discount
Remember, special discount will attract more crowd. Just provide discount for all orders placed at the show. I have seen offers like 10 per cent off for all orders placed and paid for at the expo. This encourages orders to be placed straight away as well as getting paid immediately - a big bonus. Have a look at what others are doing with discounts and special offers to get ideas on different methods, explore where the money is and what works best for your business as well as your customers.

4. Collect prospects's information
Gather contact details of visitors who are potential customers by running a competition with prizes that your customers want. I run a gift voucher competition during trade show where I give away three gift vouchers. This way I build my customer list for my email newsletter. So I get increase sales through out the year and make my trade show display booth rental expenses into an investment.

5. Invite your existing customers
Send out an invitation card showing your products so you are part of their spending budget. Make sure you have your website, contact details and booth location on the card. Design the card with reuse in mind so it can be handed out at the show so you can get the bulk printing discount benefits. You can make up stamps with your booth numbers on them so the printed post cards can be used at different shows.

6. Trade show giveaways
This can be great value as they keep moving around for years after the event with your marketing message all over them. Design the promotional giveaways so they are timeless and can be used at various shows. If there is a big show that is a corner stone to your marketing initiatives and you want to associate your contact details with it then an investment in freebies for it should avoid having a year on them as that dates and seriously limits your use of them. Make your designs work for you in multiple places. So if you have a pen with your business name on it make sure it has your website address. This way you can use it in the shop as well as at expos as well as being able to send it out to customers as a thank you present with orders. Get your value out of your marketing budget.

7. Entertainment for your booth
One of the most effective trade show marketing strategies today is to hire some form of entertainment for your booth. There are many trade show entertainment services available today, ranging from show girls, magicians and spin wheels. However one of the most effective trade show entertainment services you can get, is by having a professional shoe shine stand at your booth.

8. Customer surveys
Ask your customers what they want. Customer surveys can give you great ideas and insights with creative marketing initiatives. By implementing what customers suggest you can also build profitable business relationships with customers feeling valued and listen to. Customer loyalty comes from feeling a strong connection to the business and surveys are great for building this relationship.

So the next time you are trying to think up of some innovative and effective trade show marketing ideas for your next show, you will definitely want consider these great trade show marketing strategy to drive a ton of traffic for your business at your next event.

A Malaysian Food Tour

If there's one thing that Malaysians love, it's food. The greeting 'have you eaten yet?' is as common as asking about the weather in the UK. It's a national obsession.

There are Malay restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Indian restaurants, Thai restaurants and more. In fact, eating out in Malaysia is a real gastronomic adventure and one of the things that many visitors enjoy most.

Popular Malaysian dishes include satay, nasi lemak, rendang, roti canai, murtabak, laksa, chicken rice, and fried noodles. Western cuisine is also easily available. In addition, all the usual fast food chains are here so there's bound to be something to enjoy.

It's not just the range of food, but also the amount of places to eat. There are hundreds of restaurants going from roadside hawker stalls (you ought to do it at least once) to fine dining places that are at least 50% cheaper than the equivalent in Western countries.

It's perfectly safe to eat at the roadside. As long as it's served hot you'll have no bother. And restaurants at the upper end, especially hotel restaurants, are as good as anything you'd find in the West.
Here's a quick rundown of some popular food types:

Malay FoodThe traditional culinary style was greatly influenced many years ago by traders from neighbouring countries. Malay food is often described as spicy and full of flavour. The more chillis they can squeeze in a dish the better!

Chinese Food
Steamed seafood dumplings, steamed crabsticks stuffed with fish paste, deep-fried dumplings with salted eggs and red bean paste... or just sweet and sour pork, like back home!

Indian Food
Spices are the heart and soul of Indian cooking... Plus, more often than not, your curry will be served on a banana leaf which makes it an experience to remember - especially if you do like the locals and eat it with your fingers.

Hawker Food
Hawkers selling food, fruits or drinks in push-carts or from roadside mobile stalls are a common sight. If you're going for the basics it's often where the best food is found too. Give it a try for the experience.

Nyonya Food
Nyonya (said: non-ya) people are descended from early Chinese/Malay mixed marriages, so their dishes combine the best of both cultures.

Snack Food
Nasi lemak is rice cooked in coconut milk and flavoured with cloves and pandan leaves. It's the Malaysian national dish. It's often served for breakfast, look out for the small pyramid-shaped packets if you fancy some as a snack during the day.

An Introduction to Malaysian Food

Malaysia is a country with rich culture. The population is made of mainly Malay, Chinese and Indians while the Borneo sub origins made out the most of west Malaysian population. Malaysian food, of course is very much reflective of the diversity of the people staying here. Located at the Southeast Asia, Malaysia is in between Thailand and Singapore while West Malaysia is next to the Sulawesi and Philippines.

It doesn't take an adventurous traveler or food enthusiast to appreciate Malaysian food. There are just so much to choose from, whether traditional or modern cuisines, deem to satisfy the choosiest tastes buds. The staple food in Malaysia is rice, just like the other Asian countries. Due to its sunny weather all year round, fruits and vegetables are in abundance while meat, poultry and seafood is inexpensive and readily available. Malaysian food, just like its people, is divided into Malay, Chinese and Indian and is still prepared by their own unique ways.

Malay food, in general is rich with herbs like lemongrass, tamarind, dried and fresh chilies, ginger and garlic. Malay dishes can be distinguished into a few methods of cooking namely masak merah (tomato sauce), masak lemak (coconut milk), masak asam (sourish tamarind) and masak pedas (spicy). Popular dishes that cannot be missed are such as nasi lemak (coconut milk steamed rice), sambal belacan (shrimp paste with pounded chilies), beef rending (dried curry) and serunding (beef floss). Satay, or barbequs meat on a stick, is originated from Malay cuisine has presence in restaurants all over the world today.

Indian food, on the other hand, has very much integrated northern Indian and southern Indian cuisines when they reach Malaysian shores. Popular for their curries, banana leaf rice and breads such as chapati, naan and roti (prata in some countries). Indian food has also been assimilated with Malay food through their mix marriages of Indian Malay. The resultant is Mamak food, which cannot be found in India, itself. Examples are like teh tarik (tea with milk), murtabak and rojak (mixture of fruits with peanut sauce).

Chinese food, like Indian food, has been assimilated with local cuisines. In China itself, Chinese are divided into so many provinces namely the Cantonese, Hakka, Hokkien, Hainan, Teochew and so forth. In Malaysian, Cantonese food makes the most presence with its stir fry and steaming method. Chinese dishes such as dim sum, sweet and sour dishes, char siew (sweet barbecued pork),bak kut teh (herbal soup) are a few popular dishes. Steamboat or fondue is also widely available and can be a great experience.

Wedding Photographers - How To Choose The Best One!

You wedding photographs will capture the emotions and mood of your wedding day for the rest of your life, so choosing the right photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make.

While selecting a photographer who lives locally might be the most convenient option, he might not be the best person for your wedding. So, you should always shop around.

Unless you already happen to know a talented, professional photographer, then you will have to rely on wedding magazines, the Yellow Pages, the Internet, or word of mouth.

The Internet is a good place to start because it allows you to compare the previous work and styles of many photographers and read the testimonials from other couples. It will also open your eyes to the fact that wedding photographs do not have to all look the same! They can be styled in many different ways to make your wedding look unique and different. The only limitation is your own imagination and the creativity of the photographer.

However, be aware that unless the photographer has whole wedding albums on his site, then the photos on display will tend to be his very best ones. So, you will have to investigate his work in more depth.

Therefore, when you have honed your down your list to a few prospective candidates, you should contact them and arrange face-to-face meetings.

The first thing you want to ascertain is whether you actually like them as a person. Having a good rapport with your photographer is very important because it will mean you will be more relaxed and confident about his abilities on the day.

So, if you do not like him, then try someone else. You are going to be spending many hours with this person on your wedding day, so you can afford to be picky about who you choose.

Also, assure yourself that the photographer has experience in photographing weddings by asking him how many weddings he has done. If he is a good wedding photographer, then he should have done lots of weddings, with testimonials to prove it.

Ask him to show you some full wedding albums of his work. This will give you a broader view of his style and creativity. It should also prove that he can produce consistently good photos for the whole of the wedding and not just one or two good ones.

Find out whether the photographer has worked at your wedding venue before. If he has not, then ask him if you could meet him at the venue to discuss good locations and any possible lighting problems.

The next thing to find out is how much he charges. Some photographers charge by the hour and others offer different wedding packages for a fixed rate. So, get him to explain what is included in each package, any extra costs such as travelling, and what his payment terms are.

Having a basic idea of his costs, you can then work out how long you want him to be there - or can afford to have him there. Would you like him just to cover the wedding ceremony and meal or would you like him to stay until the last dance?

You will also need to brief him about how many photographs you want taken and any special photographs that you would like. For example, you may want shots of particular friends or relatives that are not included in his usual packages. If so, how much extra will that cost?

Finally, remember to ask him what he charges for extra prints. Some will charge reasonable rates and others will charge an arm and leg for these. If extra prints are very expensive, then it may be much cheaper for your friends and family to order their photographs when you are placing your order.

Whoever you choose - have a lovely and photogenic wedding!

Five Questions to Ask Your Wedding Photographer

One of the most important days of your life is approaching--choosing the right wedding photographer can be a daunting task! Certainly, you want the highest quality of wedding photographs without going broke. You are looking for a wedding photographer who is in tune with your wedding style as you imagine that day. You also want a photographer who is professional, experienced, talented, and a pleasure to work with.

Partnering with the right photographer is easy when you know what to ask. Start by doing a quick phone interview of each wedding photographer to narrow down your choices. Find out first if they are available for your wedding day—if they're not, it narrows things down immediately. Ask about prices, who will be photographing the wedding, what style of wedding photography they use to shoot weddings (black and white, color, posed photos or candid shots).

After you narrow down your wedding photographer choices, you'll want to set up a date to interview the photographer. In some large companies, the photographer you talk to might not be the one they send out for your event. Make sure you interview the photographer who will actually be at your wedding and see his/her portfolio, in order to evaluate their style.

You'll also want to find out what happens if the wedding photographer you choose is fired before or right after your wedding date. It will put your mind at rest if you are assured that your wedding will be photographed even if your photographer is no longer with the company and that you will also have access to your photos no matter what the hiring status of the photographer.

Be sure to ask these questions when interviewing the photographer:

1) Experience Level.

On the most important day of your life, you want someone who is an expert at wedding photography to preserve your memories in a professional manner. Therefore, it's very important to make sure you ask your wedding photographer questions about their experience.

Is this a job or a hobby for the wedding photographer?

Do they have formal training or education in wedding photography?

You might be tempted to save money by hiring a novice wedding photographer, but do you want stunning photos that capture your special day or just so-so ones?

Do they frequently photograph weddings?

Some photographers are better at static and posed studio photography than action oriented and "on location" wedding photography. Photographing a wedding involves capturing spontaneous moments, not just poses, so it's important to have someone who is an expert.

Does the wedding photographer use professional-grade equipment, and do they have back-up equipment available, just in case?

Have they photographed weddings in your chosen location before?

Prior experience in a location gives the wedding photographer an advantage because he'll know ahead of time what film, filters or flash he/she might need to get the best results.

2) Ask About Their Portfolio.

Photography is an art, so it's understandable that you may or may not like the style used by the wedding photographer. To make sure you're going to love the way your wedding is photographed, request to see a portfolio featuring their work.

To make an educated decision, you'll want to view an entire wedding portfolio from start to finish, not the best few photos from many weddings. Ask what style the wedding photographer uses. Some photographers tend to like more posed shots while others have what is called a photojournalistic style, which involves more candid shots.

Ask if he/she likes to use color photos, black and whites or a mixture. Also, ask if they use a digital camera and retouch the photos to make them black and white, or if they use film.

3) Will They Dress the Part?

Your wedding photographer will be spending a lot of time with you on you on the most important day of your life. It's crucial that his or her personality blends in, making it a pleasure to have him/her at your side.

If the wedding photographer makes you uneasy in a short interview then don't hire them for your event!

No matter how charming he is, you'll want to make sure the wedding photographer will dress the part and look professional while taking those important photos.

Finally, ask about any assistants. Ask if you can meet them and ask about how they will dress and conduct themselves to ensure your wedding goes smoothly.

4) Money and Technical Matters.

Though you don't want to skimp on wedding phoyos, it is important to make sure this particular photographer isn't going to break your budget. Find out ahead of time about how much it will cost to have him/her photograph your wedding.

You'll want to know how much time you'll be allotted, and how many rolls of film they'll take during that time. If the wedding photographer uses digital cameras, ask how many shots they will take to ensure the event is well-documented.

Most photographers offer packages that specify a certain amount of pictures for a set fee. If you don't see a size of photograph that you want, ask if those packages can be customized to meet your needs.

You'll also want to ask about the cost of albums and copies, since you're probably going to fall in love with a lot more of the photos than you bargained!

Ask about deposit and cancellation policies. In order to hold your date, what method of deposit is needed? What are the cancellation policies? If the wedding photographer cancels, will your deposit be refunded?

5) Ask If You Can Get It In Writing!

You'll want a contract to protect you in case you're unhappy with the services of your wedding photographer. If you end up going to court to settle matters, the judge will only be concerned with the conditions written in the contract. Therefore, it's very important to make sure you get all of the details in writing.

The contact should include:

Expected services, fees, cancellation policy, fee schedule and all aspects of your photo packages written in detail.

You'll also want their name and address, as well as your name and address on the contract. Be certain that the contract has a signature and date for both of you and that you receive a copy of both sides.

How Much to Spend on Your Wedding Cake

Your wedding should be one of the most memorable days in your life. Before you even start planning the wedding there are many details you need to see too. The first thing you and your finance need to discuss is how much you are willing to spend on the whole wedding. Many couples try to make the perfect day by supplementing their wedding with credit cards. This can actually add a lot of stress to the day, and in the end disappoint you. It is more important for you to pick a style of wedding that will fit in your budget, without going so far into debt that you start off with a bad financial outlook. Having said that let’s talk about just the cake portion of your wedding.

Part of getting your wedding prepared is the reception and of course the main centerpiece the cake. The cake can be any type from a simple style to the most elaborate. Again when asking how much to spend on your wedding cake that will be up to you. Most wedding cake designers offer a cake around 400 pounds and up. The more decorative you get with the cake the more it will cost. If you decide to have each layer in the cake be a different filling the cost will also increase. It is easier for the wedding cake designer to make one type of filling over four.

The design of the cake will also make a difference. If the cake needs special cake and more time to create you are going to pay a little more for it. The easiest cakes are the square or round cakes. They can be done in a regular cake pan and then the decorations can be added. Something more elaborate like a tower cake or the Castle of Edinburgh is going to require more time.

Your cake should have a particular meaning to you. This means you should choose the type of cake and the design based on the theme of your special day or a special meaning to you and your fiancé. It is possible to get a cake from your local store as a premade cake if you are on a budget, but this just isn’t the same as getting a specially designed cake.

Only you can know how much you want to spend on the cake. Remember that there are some ways to spend a little less if you have a restrictive budget. A silly thing to do would to spend more on your wedding cake then you do on your wedding dress. For other pointers in how much to spend on your wedding cake you should look at how many individuals would be attending. This will help you decide if you need the larger cake or the smaller cake. You can add or drop layers to most designs based on the amount of individuals you need to serve. It is your happy day so don’t let too many things influence your decisions.

How To Lose Weight Easily, Quickly And Naturally Program - Natural Weight Loss

By Chris Chew

It is easy to lose weight quickly and naturally if you have a systematic weight loss program. Many people failed to lose weight successfully because of the natural tendency to choose easy quick fix programs such as going on drastic diets, popping diet pills or persuaded to buy some exercise gadgets that simply do not work. In my other articles, I have addressed these issues and why such easy quick fix programs simply do not work in the long term and will not repeat them here.

To lose weight quickly, naturally and easily, you have to combine a healthy eating habit, correct cardio and strengthening exercises. We shall touch on the subject of how to lose weight quickly and naturally through a healthy eating program in this article.

• Increase Your Metabolism – Eat 5-6 small meals daily. It has been scientifically proven that by eating frequently, you will raise your body’s natural metabolism. That means your body will burn more fat naturally. You become a fat burning machine all day long.

• Eat Less Calories – Although you need to increase meal frequency to lose weight naturally, you must be mindful of your caloric consumption. Calories consumed must not exceed calories expanded for your daily energy. So keep your meals small and cut down on dietary fats as each gram of fat contains 9 calories whereas each gram of protein and carbohydrate contains only 4 calories.

• Avoid Starchy And Processed Flour Foodstuffs – These foodstuffs are easy to digest and turn into sugar rapidly and in turn get converted to body fat if these sugar calories are not used up as energy quickly. So ditch your cakes, cookies, pizzas, pastas, white rice etc Replace them with high fiber bread, legumes, brown rice, grains and nuts instead. So stay away from fast food restaurants as most fast food menus offer such foodstuff.

• Avoid All Sugary and Soft Drinks – Reason is obvious. Most if not all of these kind of drinks are heavily laced with sugar and sugar gets converted to body fat very quickly. You have to run on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes just to burn away a can’s worth of calories in a soft drink. Just imagine how much body fat you will accumulate if you drink just three cans of soft drinks a day along with 2 cups of sugar added coffee?

• Avoid All Forms Of Alcohol – There are about 7 calories in a gram of alcohol. Alcohol calories have zero nutritional value. They are just mere empty calories. Indulging in regular alcohol consumption not only wrecks your health, it will set back your weight loss program completely.

Oh….so you think this eating habit is difficult to implement or that you will miss your sugary foodstuffs and soft drinks? Not to worry. You may experience some withdrawal symptoms at first but after a week or two, you will be weaned off your sugar and simple carbohydrate cravings. Once your addictions to these foods are curbed, you will no longer have your sweet tooth and will naturally avoid such foodstuff.

Just by following these healthy eating habits, you will start to lose weight easily, quickly and naturally. Include cardio and weight lifting exercises into your weight loss program and your weight loss will be permanent.

Enhancing Web Effectiveness With Audio Sound Design

By Jerry Bader

The average person is exposed to an assault of stimuli each and every moment of our waking day. Some of this stimulus catches our attention, but much is filtered out as extraneous, useless, or unimportant. This filtering is our way of handling the constant barrage of information we endure. As marketers it is our job to cut through all the meaningless, random white noise of life and penetrate the consciousness of our targeted audience with our marketing messages.

Mere Subliminal Exposure

One of the weapons, tools if you prefer, professional media producers use to create an impression and influence behavior is something called mere subliminal exposure, the process of communication without explicit notice. It is a process and effect that everyone uses every day without ever thinking about it, and it is a necessity in order to deal with, and make sense of, our over-stimulated lives.

The look your spouse gives you at a dinner party, the tone of a simple comment, or the change in body language communicates a message that says, 'stop what you're doing before I get angry,' or 'let's get the heck out of here before I die of boredom.' But whatever the coded meaning, the communication is clear. We all have the ability to decode these kinds of minimal subliminal messages. In fact the inability of some to properly interpret these kinds of signals has lead to unfortunate consequences.

This process is not to be confused with the discredited work of James Vicary, who in 1957 faked the results of subliminal advertising in movie theaters. He claimed and later recanted that by flashing barely noticeable images of popcorn and soft drinks on the screen that it increased sales of the items by a significant amount. However, this abuse of the phenomenon does not negate the fact that people are sensitive to, learn from, and respond to a variety of subtle visual and auditory experiences that influence their behavior. The same can be said of other senses like smell and touch, but since our main concern is how to use this process on website presentations we will leave the more physical encounters to our offline marketing colleagues.

Audio Sound Design

The Art of Hidden Persuasion

The Signature Voice-over

One of the least used but most effective and economical marketing tools a website business has at its disposal is signature voice-over, or Sonic Personality. It establishes your identity and embeds your brand by giving your site a human voice.

It is the sound of the human voice that conveys all the subtlety and nuance of the message you have to deliver. Major advertisers use familiar sounding actors and actresses to deliver personality and impact. Even when an audience doesn't recognize the voice being used, the positive attributes associated with that voice are transferred to the product or service being offered. It is not by random choice that Ford Motor Company chose Keifer Sutherland's Jack Bauer sonic personae for the voice of their television spots or that Chili's restaurants now employs John Corbett's comfortable, friendly, 'Sex and The City' voice instead of the previously grating and irritable sound of comic Wanda Sikes.

Most website businesses cannot afford to hire Hollywood talent to pitch their products. What is important is that the voice you choose is a signature voice, a distinctive sound that delivers the script with character and style employing timber, cadence, and phrasing like only a professional voice actor can do. Of course, you must also give your voice talent the right words to say, which means you provide them with a professionally written script if you want to maximize the effectiveness of your signature voice-over.

When we think of voice-overs we usually think of commercial presentations, but here again most website businesses truly miss the boat when it comes to utilizing Sonic Personality. We all know that text on your website is important in order to attract search engine indexing, unfortunately from a marketing effectiveness point-of-view, text alone lacks impact.

People are impatient and generally do not want to read volumes of text information, and besides, most people find it difficult to read on a computer screen. Even if they do read your material, how much of it is retained, is it associated with your company, or does it just get confused with all the other stuff people see during their busy, business day?

As a solution why not turn all your website copy, including articles, into audio delivered by a professional signature voice, providing people the option of reading the text or sitting back and listening to your words of wisdom?

Of all the multimedia, marketing techniques available to you, a signature voice is the most economical option whether used as a stand-alone element or as part of a visual or video presentation.

Sound Cue Punctuation & Effects

Voice-over is not the only audio method available to the savvy website marketer. You wouldn't write something without using punctuation: it's what makes the words meaningful by providing the cadence necessary for maximizing the impact, but punctuation does not have to be limited to periods, exclamation marks and semicolons. Punctuation can be added in the form of sound cues and audio effects.

Professional audio engineers know what kind of sound to add to a presentation in order to draw people's attention to certain key phrases, words, or points. In the same way a composer arranges the music score for a movie to enhance mood and build excitement, so too does the commercial audio producer turn a dry read into an authentic, memorable experience.

Sound punctuation and audio effects should not be taken lightly; audio sound design, when done properly, is one of the most complex and technical areas of multimedia, far more sophisticated than video and just as important if not more so. Where and how to use trumpet swells, rim shots, and volume variance is not just art, it's science, and it has a profound psychological and emotional effect on the listener.

Custom Composed Music

If voice-over is the most under-utilized Web-marketing tool we have, then music is probably the most abused. No doubt music like sound design is an enormously powerful method of enhancing mood, and drawing attention to specific points and images. Unfortunately slapping on an over-used royalty-free sound loop that's been used on everything from breakfast cereals to incontinence products is not the answer.

For music to be effective it should be unique enough to be associated with your company and arranged in such a way that it increases the presentation's memorability and enhances its experience. In the silent movie era music was the only method of creating this kind of emotional impact, and despite today's full range of visual presentation techniques and special effects, music scoring is still one of the most crucial elements of memorable movie-making.

When it comes to music, you are dealing with the full arsenal of psychological presentation techniques and failure to use it properly may be counter-productive.

Signature Sound Logos

One of the first things people do when they start a business is to have a logo designed. Even novice entrepreneurs recognize that a company needs some kind of visual identity, a short-form tag that conveys the brand image that can be recognized in an instant.

The advent of visual media like television and commercial TV spots did not obscure the importance of the radio-style jingle and what has become known as the sound logo or audio signature. The Maxwell House coffee percolator beat, Kellogs Rice Krispies' 'Snap, Crackle, Pop,' and Tony The Tiger's 'Grrrrrrrrreat!' are all classic examples of audio signature. Today we have the familiar sound of Intel's sound logo, the powerful swell of the THX movie sound tag, and Vonage's original goofy signature audio branding.

In today's multimedia Web environment, your sound logo is every bit as important as your visual identity.

It's Theater of the Mind

Radio has often been referred to as 'theater of the mind' because the combination of voice, sound cues, effects, music, and audio logos helped paint powerful and memorable mental images for the listener. For those old enough to remember radio dramas, the ringing of 'Johnny Dollar's' telephone or the sound of 'Inner Sanctum's' creaking door are forever permanently etched in the minds to anyone whoever heard them.

In a Web environment populated by millions of websites all competing for audience attention, failure to use every marketing tool at your disposal is simply foolish. If you want to be heard, it's time to say what you have to say out-loud.

How To Take Some Time Off And Enjoy Holiday Tours

By Johnathan Bakers

Travels tours range from volunteering with children in Nicaragua to mountain climbing in the Rockies and even a wine tasting tour in Italy. There are tours for every preferred indulgence and interest. It could turn out to be a stressful and overwhelming task to decide on a tour. There are certain tools and tips you could follow to make a profitable choice of a tour. This includes considering what you should do, what you would like to do and the budget for both.

First, choose the destination. Where would you like to go on tour? When it comes to choosing from places across the globe, you need not be apprehensive, as the choice is vast and the locales on offer are exotic. Determining how and where you want to travel would help you in short-listing the number of tours available.

After choosing where you would like to go, decide what you would like to when you are on tour. If you have a passion for underwater photography or ancient cave art, there are tours that are designed to allow you to explore your interests. If you have varied interests, there are tours to satisfy the variety you crave for.

The next step would be deciding on how much time can you spend on the tour and when you would like to go. There are seasonal variations, which could spoil your vacation if you haven’t conducted background research.

After deciding the time, try to decide on the pace you would prefer for touring. Maybe if you have less time on hand, you could opt for moving from place to place as quickly as possible. There are people who prefer enjoying a more leisurely visit to each locale. However, at leisure or at a quicker pace, every tour has its own drawbacks and benefits.

Next, decide on who will be traveling along. Whether it is a solitary tour or one with the entire family, take into consideration the extra fees single travelers are asked to pay.

Once you know who is going on your little adventure, you can figure out how large your budget is and what sort of tours you can afford. Prices depend on the length of your tour and what is included. Consider the price of airfare, food, ground transportation, accommodation and tour guides and find out whether these are included in the price quoted.

Decide if you would like to tour on your own or with a group. If you will be travelling with a group, consider how large the group is and the ages of the group members. There are
holiday tours designed specifically for women, singles, seniors and families.

Figure out the level of comfort you desire and can afford. The food and accommodation may not always suit you. There are adventure tours and rural destination tours that demand a certain level of compromising when it comes to comfort.

Do your share of research and refer to various travel publications, periodicals and the Internet. Compare all the tours and clear all doubts. A vacation is for you to enjoy and you should take all necessary measures to make the tour a successful one and turn it into an enlivening experience.

Choose Your Wedding Day And Wedding Reception Photographer Carefully

By T. Z. Cole

Wedding photography has become much more creative over the last number of years. It used to be that you could identify the wedding photographer by the poses of the couples in the wedding day photographs. All that was changed it seemed was the couple- everything else was basically the same – the setting, pose, backgrounds etc etc.

In the new millennium things have certainly changed. Now, in addition to the ever traditional photographs many couples opt for a “journalistic” approach that capture the day’s unexpected special moments – such as when the best man’s toast brings tears to the bride’s father’s eyes or other spontaneous moments that will always be fondly remembered.

Although the trend in earlier times was almost exclusively toward color photos (black and white photographs seeming “old fashioned”), it now seems that a mixed approach is apparent, with black and white making a definite artistic comeback. Many couples now choose a combination of color and black and white photographs for their wedding day album. Black and white photos can even be hand tinted as a special touch and extra special emphasis.

It is important that when selecting a photographer, and whittling down your choices, that you look through as many samples of the photographers work as you possibly can. Bear in mind that any portfolio that is submitted for your review and consideration is a selling collection of the very best of that persons stock and trade –

in this case their ability to shoot outstanding photographic pictures. The collection that you are basing your valued choice on may consist of only 50 photographs out of a total of 10,000 that the artist may have shot over his career. That would count as only ½ of 1 %. How then can you assess and judge the photographer’s skill expertise, and consistency?

First of all when examining the collection – judge not only the photographs and images, but also the quality. Are the colors rich and vibrant? Are the images in focus and well framed? Are the subjects placed in a balanced manner and in symmetry? Are the colors rich and vibrant? If you are planning an outdoor wedding. Then does the artist’s work look clear, neat and clean? Is natural light used to its best advantage? If on the other hand if you are planning a wedding or reception inside – a restaurant for the reception , or a large older church for the wedding ceremony , both of which may have low ambient lighting levels – then how are the photos in a similar setting. Does the photographer seem to have the organization to plan for and utilize artificial lighting setups? Lastly you should take care to evaluate whether the photographer knows well how to organize and frame the elements in a shot to take best advantage of all the variables in your settings and photographs for best results.

Remember that your wedding day is “Your day in the Sun”. What you will be left with to reminisce your special memories will be what is contained in your wedding photo album. Take extra care to choose your wedding day photographer carefully.

The Wedding Bouquet

By Hana Lee

When we think of weddings there are a few images that come automatically to our minds. We may think of churches decorated with beautiful flowers or of groomsmen looking somehow uncomfortable and debonair at the same time in their rented tuxedos. We may think of bridesmaids adorned in dresses that they would never be caught dead in elsewhere or of adorable small children acting as ring bearers and flower girls, thrilled to be the focus of attention for those few moments that they spend walking down the aisle. One image that invariably comes to mind is that of the bride in her white dress and veil carrying a beautiful bouquet of flowers. For some reason, when we think of a wedding, we always think of the wedding bouquet.

The wedding bouquet is a tradition that goes back almost as far as weddings themselves. While it’s obvious that the flowers are a symbol of fertility, the origins of the wedding bouquet and the tradition of throwing the bouquet (thus passing on that fertility) to another available young lady are less clear. Suffice to say that the wedding bouquet is now a time-honored tradition that is observed in most weddings today.

Once just a simple and small collection of flowers, the wedding bouquet has evolved over time to the point where literally hundreds of dollars are now spent on beautifully designed and arranged ornate wedding bouquets. Most modern brides, in fact, will often have two bouquets. One elaborate wedding bouquet is designed to be carried down the aisle during the ceremony and used in photographs while the other is typically smaller and designed to be thrown into the throng of the bride’s available girlfriends who will then proceed to scramble and claw at one another in an attempt to be the lucky girl who “catches” the bouquet and thus becomes the next woman destined to be married.

Modern florists take great pride in the wedding bouquets they design and offer. Rarely is the simple group of daises seen at today’s weddings. Instead, wedding bouquets now consist of a variety of floral designs, including combinations of calla lilies, roses, and sweet pea or traditional white lilies and roses. Even sunflowers have made their way into modern wedding bouquet arrangements.

The advent of the Internet has broadened the spectrum of available options in many industries, and flowers are no exception. The fact that floral arrangements can be designed and ordered online has spurred great competition among florists, causing each to try and outdo the others by offering greater and greater diversity in all of their arrangements, including wedding bouquets. Ultimately this trend is very good for the bride-to-be because it allows for an incredible array of options when it comes time to choose all of the flowers for a wedding, including the all important wedding bouquet. With florists offering so many designs in wedding bouquets and so many florists as close as the living room PC, any prospective bride is sure to find the perfect wedding bouquet to complete her appearance on her Special Day.
